Ruby Solly is a Kai Tahu writer, musician, and music therapist living in Pōneke. She has been published in Landfall, Sport, Oscen, Brief, and Minarets, among others. She has recently written a collection of poetry, Tōku Pāpā, which explores how a Māori and more specifically Kai Tahu identity is passed on through parenting and the experiences of childhood.
