Helen HoganHelen Hogan

Helen Hogan teaches creative writing at WEA in Christchurch, and is a member of the South Island Writers’ Association. She is the author of numerous books which record the 19th century journeys of Māori rangatira, and was editor of six anthologies of verse by New Zealand college students in the 1970s. Helen was born in Shirley in 1923.
